ACTIVATION:
A completely integrated exhibit and event marketing experience utilizing a seamless blend of tactics and touchpoints to maximize brand visibility and customer engagement at a major medical conference.

OUTCOME:
We took a holistic approach to our client’s entire conference program to maximize exposure and engagement with attendees—from arrival to post-show follow through. We addressed each touchpoint by creating a new trade show exhibit, airport and mobile ads, a digital lead-generation app, and an exclusive VIP event. The hub of the operation was a beautiful new 20' x 40' custom exhibit that merged the feel of a high-end retail setting with the welcoming elegance of a modern spa by featuring clean lines; modern surfaces; and comfortable, casual seating areas. ACTIVATE developed custom touchscreens and an iPad application that helped tell the SkinMedica story. These tools gathered leads and tracked attendee interests while giving physicians valuable insight into the clinical benefits of SkinMedica products, as well as the financial opportunities. ACTIVATE’S event team also produced a SkinMedica VIP event at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, with a theme, promotions, and custom invitations that reinforced SkinMedica’s brand and unique product benefits.

ACTIVATION:
A traffic-building campaign that aligned pre-show outreach, on-site marketing, and an engaging in-booth gaming experience to draw attendees in droves

OUTCOME:
Tripwire was launching a new product and wanted to create a splash at VMworld. ACTIVATE identified key messages and crafted a strategy to excite and entice the target audience of IT professionals, uniting them to face common IT threats.
A menacing hand-sketched face inked on a ping-pong ball became the central campaign image, representing the lurking threats to IT teams. Attendee interest was piqued when our villain found his way into their hotel rooms the night before the show, appearing to spring to life from the accompanying promo card we placed in 1000 attendees’ rooms. A roving street team further stoked interest, greeting visitors and handing them the mysterious ball with a call to action to visit the booth. Campaign ads placed in the show program and on prominent banners in the show hall increased visibility. The campaign beckoned visitors to come to the Tripwire booth to defeat these IT threats.
At the Tripwire booth, a custom-built game station sat center stage. Hidden fans in the game cube whipped ping-pong balls emblazoned with IT threats into a frenzy. Competitors battled head-to-head to be the quickest to reach in and capture the threats.
The traffic-building campaign provided a steady stream of attendees each day of the show. As they lined up to play, Tripwire staff had the perfect opportunity to engage them in conversation. At show’s end, Tripwire had captured 2400 leads—more than tripling their previous high of 700.
